1. "don't dream it's over" by crowded house
this one should go for katja, she's been my bestest friend for over 10 years, she's been more than that actually, she's been my sister, my soulmate, myself... and she's the first person i should think of because today is her birthday :)

2. "chuva"(rain) by lucia moniz
for my buddy ethan, also a birthday boy today. lucia moniz is a portuguese singer (by the way, married to the also portuguese nuno bettencourt from the band extreme) and this boy was the one who introduced me to her music. she's his favorite. unfortunately she's not so popular in brazil, but i had the chance to go to her concert in lisbon and get him her autograph :)

3. "we're in this together" by nine inch nails
dani spent the most bizarre time of my life by my side. actually it was a great time but we went through some tough times together, and now she's in a new phase in her life, hope she knows i'm still by her side ;)

4. "here we go again" by shelter
for my friend graham. haha. just for the fun of dedicating him a shelter song. XXXstraight-edge prideXXX haha

5. "livin' on a prayer" by bon jovi
ludde and the crazy people in sweden who stand up on the bar table to sing this. SO THRILLED!!!

6. "get right" by j-lo
leila and the crazy summer 2005. we used to hit the clubs and whenever this song played she said "j-lo is the only human being i know who can swing her arm like this *swing, swing* and not look stupid."

7. "candy" by iggy pop
gustavo, my friend who dances and sings along 80's songs with me. he also uses slang words such as "groovy" and "smashing" and "oh, boy"

8. "um dia de domingo"(like a sunday afternoon) by gal costa
brazilian music for a brazilian lady: my mom. she used to sing this song for me when i was a child, while i laid my head on her lap to sleep hehehe

9. "cruisin'" by huey lewis and gwineth paltrow
to my friend caren sunflower... we used to make other people's lives a living hell singing this duets song hahaha

10. "everlong" by the foo fighters
they're zini's favorite band. zini used to live with pedrinho, who used to be my boyfriend! ahaha... i'm still a good friend of zini. and everytime i hear this song i start remembering moments i spent with him in their house (uh, nothing so romantic though)

11. "omaha" by the counting crows
felipe is my "morzaum", or should i say my love. i think we weren't even friends until one day i told him counting crows was my favorite band and he also liked them a lot (but here in brazil few people know them nowadays, 10 years ago i think we were the only ones). after THAT moment, we decided we were meant for each other. haha

12. "tout les garçons et les filles" by françoise hardy
i've never met her, i don't think we've even chatted by msn, but i really like this girl. her name's leticia and i imagine her as a very chic and extravagant and sophisticated person, so here just for her, a french-chic-extravaganza song that reminds me of my childhood

13. "in my life" by the beatles, perfomed by johnny cash
actually this song is just for me, because it says many things that are true for me. but instead i'll just say it's for all my friends, because i can't list them all here, and they're so damn important in my life :)
