In My Life - old

i came up with that theory last thursday. i've been a smoker since i'm 18 and been trying to quit since the day i started. long story, nevermind. and i have had some periods in my life when i used to smoke 1 or 2 packs a day, but those days are luckily gone. usually i smoke one per day or so...

but then last thursday i went to a rock concert to see my friends playing, and during that evening i must have smoked almost a full pack. why??? have no idea. does this happen to more people??? what does rock have to do with nicotine?

anyhow, thursday was GREAT. i often say i have retired from rock n'roll, so it's been ages since i last went to a rock concert like that here in brazil. and apart from that, i had been away from brazil for the past year too so i hadn't seen those guys for around 3 years or so...
on the picture you can see me and koala (the big guy) with rapha, on her birthday party........ 5 or 6 years ago. his band was playing on thursday and i felt really happy because they have finally achieved a successfull level here in brazil...

i also saw sonrisal's band playing - and sonri himself - which was great too.
apart from the men of the evening, i saw people i never thought i'd see. one of them, manu, is working as hateen's sound techinician. and then i saw sam, who is now playing at a band called dance of days and was then advertising a gig.

sam and i met a few years back and had the most amazing rides together! such as deciding on a friday morning to hit the road on the same night off to the south, 12 hours driving, just to see a music festival... going on barbecues in a far far cottage and diving into an ice tank... going to a 15 year-old-girl birthday party (whom we never met), obviously uninvited, and things like that.
we spent most of the evening remembering those days.. hihi

and then when i went up to sam and koala holding a coca-cola can, i realized how they saw me.
i'm lilize, and i've been sober for 5 months.
